What exactly is Snail Mail?

Snail Mail is my art-print subscription from Chestnut Grove Studios. Each delivery includes a hand-signed 5" × 7" print created from one of my original paintings, along with a little note from the studio. The artwork stays a surprise until it arrives in your mailbox.

When is Snail Mail sent?

Accepted Answer

Snail Mail goes out on the second Thursday of each month. Orders placed by the 3rd of the month receive that month’s print. Orders placed after the 3rd begin with the following month’s mailing.

Will I know which artwork I’m getting?

Accepted Answer

No — and that’s part of the fun! I keep each month’s artwork under wraps until subscribers have had a chance to receive it. Afterward, I may share the painting on my website and social media.

Do subscriptions automatically renew?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Subscription plans automatically renew according to the plan you select until canceled. You can cancel before your next renewal if you decide you don’t want to continue.

Can I try Snail Mail without subscribing?

Absolutely. A single one-time Snail Mail delivery is available if you’d like to try it without starting a recurring subscription.

Can I give Snail Mail as a gift?

Yes. You can give one delivery, four seasonal deliveries, or a full year of Snail Mail. Gift purchases are one-time purchases rather than recurring subscriptions, and the artwork can be mailed directly to the recipient.

Is there something I can give the recipient before their first print arrives?

Yes. I offer a printable gift announcement so you have something to give on the birthday, holiday, or special occasion while their first Snail Mail is on its way.

What size are the prints?

Each Snail Mail print is 5" × 7", so it’s easy to frame, display on a small easel or shelf, or change out with the seasons.

Is each print signed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I hand-sign each Snail Mail print before it leaves the studio.
